888poker 8-Team Set to Take Storm at 2017 WSOP


Big adjustments are made in the 2017 WSOP but one again 888poker will be the official sponsor of the World Series of Poker. According to the 888poker news, World Series of Poker officials announced both a new television deal and the end of the Main Event November Nine, instead opting to play it out in July.

Following in their steps of big announcements, 888poker are happy to announce “The 8-Team.” 888poker built five awesome teams, featuring a team captain, wing man, and a qualifier from five different countries. The teams are comprised of the UK, Germany, Canada, Brazil and Sweden and will all participate in the 2017 World Series of Poker Main Event.

The best qualifier out of the 5 team will win a package through 888poker (terms and conditions) to 2018 WSOP Main Event.

  • Chris Moorman (Team UK)
  • Bruno Politano (Team Brazil)
  • Parker “Tonkaaaa” Talbot (Team Canada)
  • Sofia Lövgren (Team Sweden)
  • Dominik Nitsche (Team Germany)

Chris Moorman (Team UK)

Team UK will be captained by Chris Moorman, who has roughly $14 million in lifetime earnings and also has more than $4.6 million in live tournament earnings, 888poker Ambassador Chris “Moorman1” Moorman is a proven winner and a worthy player of being the captain of any poker team.

Bruno Politano (Team Brazil)

Team Brazil will be captained by 888poker Ambassador Bruno “Foster” Politano. The Brazilian rose to fame navigated eighth place in the 2014 WSOP Main Event for $947,172. Bruno Politano missed the bracelet, but managed to won the WSOP International Circuit Sao Paulo Event #8: R$2,300 Pot-Limit Omaha for $36,514 and a ring.

Parker “Tonkaaaa” Talbot (Team Canada)

Parker Talbot is one of Twitch’s hottest poker streamers, will lead Team Canada. Parker Talbot plays primarily online, “Tonkaaaa” has earned $246,368 in live tournament including $180,909 for finishing seventh in a Barcelona €25K High Roller last year.

Sofia Lövgren (Team Sweden)

Team Sweden will be captained by Sofia Lovgren. At the 2016 WSOP, the popular Swede Sofia Lovgren managed 12th place in the Millionaire Maker event. Lovgren is hopeful of winning a WSOP bracelet this summer.

Dominik Nitsche (Team Germany)

888poker Ambassador Dominik Nitsche is one of the most successful poker players of recent years will leads Germany. Dominik Nitsche won World Series of Poker bracelet three times and more than $6.5 million in live poker tournament.
