David Quang topped the 88 survivors from Saturday’s second starting flight of the $2,000,000 in the Season XV partypoker.net WPT Montreal Main Event. He finished on 196,100 in chips and was trailed closely by Mike Dentale (187,300), Manig Loeser (182,700) and Senthuran Vijayaratnam with 182,100.
Although Quang may have finished on top of Saturday’s advancing field, it remained WPT Champions Club member Eric Afriat with the overall lead after he bagged up 214,500 in chips on the first starting day.
Here’s a look at the top 10 finishers from Saturday.

Outside of the top 10, Jean-Pascal Savard (79,800), Richard Seymour (70,100), Kristen Bicknell (39,700), and Marc-Andre Ladouceur (33,200) were among those to bag chips. The WPT’s own Tony Dunst finished as the shortest stack to advance with 8,000 in chips. Because this event allows for best stack forward, Dunst will have the opportunity to play again on Sunday’s final starting day to advance with more chips.
All told, the field size grew to 348 through the first two starting days. As usual with poker tournaments, the biggest starting day is expected to be the final one, so expect this field to swell much, much more.
The third and final starting flight will kick off Saturday at 11 a.m. local time from Playground Poker Club,
